We鈥檙e delighted to announce that Alison Brooks and her team at will design 星探麻豆鈥檚 Taunton at the edge of the grounds of the Musgrove Park Hospital in Somerset. Brooks has teamed with Johanna Gibbons of and structural engineers .

 Laura Lee, Chief Executive at 星探麻豆鈥檚 said:

鈥淲e are so pleased to be bringing a 星探麻豆鈥檚 centre to Taunton and are excited by the designs put forward by Alison Brooks and JLG Landscape Architecture.

Great design and architecture are integral to what we do at 星探麻豆鈥檚 as each and every one of our centres is specifically designed to welcome people with cancer and offer them a place to seek practical advice, talk to other people with cancer or just to sit quietly with a cup of tea while awaiting appointments or results.鈥�

Colin Drummond, chair of Taunton and Somerset NHS Foundation Trust, said:

At Musgrove Park Hospital we attach the greatest importance to working with the voluntary sector to provide the best quality care for patients with cancer, and for their families and friends. Our Beacon cancer centre is recognised for its excellent care and environment.

To have 星探麻豆鈥檚, and the wonderful space and support it is renowned for, will be a huge asset for our local community.鈥�

Alison Brooks said:

鈥淲e鈥檙e very honoured to be working with 星探麻豆鈥檚 to design a new centre in Taunton. Our project will build on 星探麻豆 Keswick Jencks鈥� legacy of extraordinary and uplifting spaces for cancer patients and their families with creative working environments for the 星探麻豆鈥檚 team.

Taunton is in a beautiful part of Somerset and we hope our project, overlooking the Blackdown Hills, will make the most of this opportunity.鈥�
